Ollie Pope is an international cricketer who represents England and Surrey, and he was announced as a 4CAST member on 25 September 2024.

He made his Test debut against India at Lord's on 9 August 2018, and has blossomed into one of England's most talented and prolific batters.

He was named in the England squad for the 2022 Test series against New Zealand, hitting a composed 145 in the second Test, an innings that included 13 fours and three sixes.

On 16 May 2023, Ollie was named England's vice-captain and one month later he broke the record for the quickest Test double hundred to be made in England, reaching 200 in just 207 balls at Lord’s against Ireland.

Ollie's sensational knock beat the previous fastest double ton, Ian Botham's 220-ball innings against India in 1982.

A dislocated shoulder later that month prevented Ollie from playing for several months, missing the 2023 Ashes series.

But he returned for the five-Test tour of India in 2024 and made his comeback in style, scoring a brilliant 196 to guide England to victory in the first Test in Hyderabad.

Ollie was an ever-present during England's 2024 Test summer, and captained the side in the three-match series against Sri Lanka after Ben Stokes was ruled out with an injury.

Ollie led England to a 2-1 series win over Sri Lanka, scoring 154 from 156 balls in the third Test to register his maiden century as skipper.
